FIFA Rankings: Croatia Jumps Up 3 Places

Croatia has climbed up the latest FIFA rankings released today by 3 places, jumping from 18th to 15th spot.
Croatia has moved into 15th in the world despite losing their last competitive match 0-1 away to Iceland in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Germany has reclaimed the No.1 ranking two years after losing the top spot thanks to its victory at the recent FIFA Confederations Cup where they beat Chile 1-0 in the final.
Other movements after last month’s matches, which saw 177 internationals played, Portugal moved into 4th position, Switzerland jumped to 5th from 9th and Sweden improved 16 places to move to 18th.
Croatia’s opponents in FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifying Iceland recorded their best ever ranking – 19th.
