Britain’s Financial Times have named the northern Croatian town of Ivanec in its annual Cities and Regions of The Future 2014/2015 list…
Ivanec was ranked in 8th place on the list of the Top 10 Micro European Cities (up to 100,000 population) for strategy and attracting potential foreign investment.
“Having Ivanec ranked among the top ten cities, in competition with 180 cities from across Europe, who have done the most to introduce strategies for attracting and encouraging direct foreign investment, is recognition for everyone in the City of Ivanec who have in recent years through various projects worked on creating the conditions for attracting investment. This is international recognition of the development plan we have set ourselves,” said Mayor Milorad Batinić, adding that they have done a lot of work on the town’s business and industrial zones in recent times, especially in the administration department, which has seen them receive a BFC (Business Friendly Certificate). Ivanec has a population of around 15,000 people.
