Fire At Iconic Croatian Summer Nightclub

Hacienda, one of Croatia’s most famous and oldest running nightclubs on the Dalmatian coast, has been hit by a fire in the early hours of Sunday morning, destroying around 20 squares meters of the club.

There were no casualties from the fire which raged at around 5am on Sunday and firefighters say that the club, which is currently closed throughout the winter period, was lucky to escape how it did.

Hacienda has been operating in the busy tourist town of Vodice since 1983 and hosts some of the summer’s biggest concerts and parties. Police and firefighters are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
