First cake vending machine in Croatia opens in Varaždin

A vending machine which dispenses cakes, the first of its kind in Croatia, has opened in the northern city of Varaždin.
The Kolačomat (cake vending machine) was placed by well-known Varaždin cafe Arbia Dorka, whose sweets and pastries have been popular with locals and tourists for a long time.
The Kolačomat is located in Banfica in Varaždin, next to the Tisak and by the Konzum supermarket on the corner of Boškovićeva and Konščakova ulica.
Arbia Dorka stock the vending machine daily with fresh cakes, including kremšnita to-go packed in a cup, mađarica, cheesecake, tiramisu and other cakes.
All cakes are packed, and everything comes with a teaspoon, so they can be consumed immediately. All under the Finooo brand.
“We wanted to be innovative and give the citizens of Varaždin the opportunity to have fresh cakes in their neighbourhood, through a self-service machine,” Arbia Dorke cafe said.
The Kolačomat offers 10 cakes:
Kremšnita – 2 pieces (400 g) – 20 kn
Domaći mix kolača (250 g) – 20 kn
Mađarica (300 g) – 20 kn
Cheescake (110 g) – 14 kn
Kinder torta (110 g) – 14 kg
Čokoladna torta (140 g) – 14 kn
Rapsodija od naranče (160 g) – 14 kn
Kremšnita To-Go (In a cup – 200 g) – 15 kn
Bueno To-Go (In a cup – 110 g) – 15 kn
Tiramisu To-Go (In a cup – 90 g) – 15 kn
The machine takes 20 and 10 kn banknotes and coins, and payment with a contactless card is also planned soon.
