Organised by the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness and the Croatian Embassy in Ireland, the first ever Croatian Investment Forum has been held in Dublin on Tuesday.
More than 30 Irish or Dublin-based firms, mainly from the IT, construction and tourism sector, attended the forum as investment opportunities in Croatia were presented. The companies were also introduced to the legislative frame-work surrounding strategic investments projects in Croatia.
“Our goal was to introduce Croatia and some emerging markets to investors who may have not traditionally looked at Croatia as a potential destination. Croatia’s accession to the EU and the new measures and policies of the Government in attracting investment has made Croatia very attractive to foreign investors,” said the Director of the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness Damir Novinić, adding that Croatia has some of the most competitive investment stimulation laws around coupled with the Agency as a central point to give support to potential investment.
