The capital of Ireland is once again connected with the Adriatic peninsula of Istria after a four-year break, when an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin landed at Pula Airport last night…
Around 130 passengers from Dublin, coming to Croatia for the Easter holidays, were on board the first flight and were greeted at the airport by Croatia’s Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin and the Irish Ambassador to Croatia and Slovenia, Kieran Dowling. Aer Lingus will operate flights from Dublin on Saturdays and Tuesdays from 5 May to mid-October.
The introduction of direct flights between Pula and Dublin was seen as an important move for the city of Pula, and the region of Istria as a whole, as it would make the destination more accessible for Irsih travellers.
