First ever Skradin Risotto Festival set to take place

Among the many events taking place along the coast this September, one of the most charming towns in Dalmatia, Skradin, is hosting the Skradin Risotto and Lifestyle Festival.

This unique two-day event, being held for the first time in Croatia, is a blend of tradition, irresistible flavours, and entertainment.

In the heart of Skradin, on the 13th and 14th of September 2024, food lovers, skilled chefs showcasing their talents through authentic specialities and innovative risotto recipes, winemakers, and anyone eager for good fun and an unforgettable experience will come together.

In addition to the culinary offerings, the Skradin Risotto and Lifestyle Festival will be preceded by two expert panels on Friday, 13th September, in the first part of the day (11 am – 1 pm).

Renowned experts will discuss traditional gastronomy and current trends, as well as the diverse wines of Croatia, in Scardona Park.

The second part of the day is reserved for the official opening of the Skradin Risotto Festival in the Little Lady Square (6 pm).

The star of the culinary programme is undoubtedly the famous Skradin risotto, which, accompanied by a cultural, artistic, and musical programme and a wine fair featuring local winemakers and Festival guests, will be the main attraction on Friday.

The gastronomic offerings will be further enriched by top chefs from various parts of Croatia, who will take over Little Lady Square on Saturday, 14th September, in the evening.

The Risotto Cooking Show will bring together experienced chefs who will prepare original risottos and their variations, from Istria’s truffle-scented dishes to Dalmatian specialities and the fragrance of jujubes.

The Skradin Risotto and Lifestyle Festival will conclude on Saturday evening with a concert by the Croatian singer, Jasna Zlokić (9 pm).

Over the two days of events in Skradin, there are many reasons to be part of the first Skradin Risotto and Lifestyle Festival, organised by the Skradin Tourist Board.
