A 43-year-old British man facing a conspiracy to commit a robbery charge in his homeland, has become the first person extradited from Croatia to the UK…
The man, from Macclesfield in the UK, was arrested in Croatia last month and extradited to face charges resulting from the theft of £250,000 worth of jewellery in Bamber Bridge in 2013, the BBC reported. He arrived back in the UK from Zagreb and he and six others are due to appear at Preston Crown Court on 12 September. A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary told the BBC that the defendant’s extradition was “understood to be the first from Croatia under the Extradition Act 2003”.
