As Zagreb bids farewell to the festive season and Advent, Fuliranje is wrapping up with a new creation.
Running until Tuesday, 7 January, this popular Advent event on Strossmayer Square in downtown Zagreb offers a last chance to experience its unique charm, including a brand new offering: Dubai štrukli.
This creative twist on the classic Zagorje štrukli is the result of a collaboration between the stand Tringlet, led by Eduard Beg, and pastry chef Juraj Klepić, known for his craft Dubai chocolate and Dubai fritule.
The dish combines traditional štrukli with an indulgent Middle Eastern flair: baked pastry topped with Belgian chocolate, kadaif, pistachio cream, and chopped pistachios.
It’s a must-try for fans of Dubai-inspired treats, a trend that has taken Zagreb Advent by storm this winter.
If Dubai fever isn’t your thing, Fuliranje has plenty more to offer.
With 16 food stalls and over 57 dishes, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include:
Mate Janković’s gourmet sausages
Asian dishes like Purple Monkey’s wagyu pepper noodles
Boogie Lab’s sweet and savoury cronuts
Cacio e pepe pasta from Pastamisee
Shish and chips, a crowd favourite this year
Creative mac and cheese variations, Pažanin burgers, and Pizza Social Club’s artisanal pizzas
For dessert lovers, options range from fritule in five flavours to Picnic’s tender braised beef cheeks.
You can pair your meals with festive drinks from Ginglebells, Punch House, or Rakijarnica, and there also is the Guinness football quiz on Sunday, 5 January, at 5 PM. Winners could even score a trip to England.
Fuliranje is open until midnight on 7 January, with free entry and hours varying by day:
Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – Midnight
Monday–Tuesday: 12:00 PM – Midnight
