First Snow Around the Corner

A period of above average temperatures and sunshine in Croatia is about to come to end…
The prolonged spell of warm weather is set to come to an end on Thursday, says meteorologist Zoran Vakula, with news that snow is just around the corner too for parts of the country. Vakula, who also wrongly predicted that Croatia would swelt in record temperatures this summer, says that first rain, then strong winds and a cold front are set to batter the country.
Temperatures will gradually fall from Thursday into the following week, where snow could fall in inland Croatia. Technically it will not be the first fall for before the winter, with Zavižan peak on the northern Velebit mountain covered in 4 centimetres of snow two months back.
