First wine and walk event in golden Slavonia

Ten winemakers, two distilleries, one food truck, 11 kilometres of walking and pure hedonism, green ambience of Kaptol, view of the Golden Valley from the slopes of Papuk Nature Park, after walk party on the square in Kaptol – everything is ready for the first wine and walk festival in Croatia’s Požega-Slavonia County on September 4th.
The registration fee is 200 kuna, which includes tasting at 12 locations, a T-shirt, a backpack, a map, a glass, a bottle of water, and a voucher for drinks and food.
Applications are open until August 27.
“You go and start drinking in groups from four cafes in Kaptol – Vrbe, Čakija, Merlyna and Castrum. We expect a lot of fun, positive energy and great wines from Soldo, Perak, Kaptol, Bartolović wineries, Polytechnic in Požega, Sparkling wines and Josipović wines, family farms Štefek, Mikić, Slavko Perić and Hrvoje Pavlović, but also fruit brandies from Šimić distillery and craft gin distillery Craft spirits and always great food from Funky food in Požega. The next day we invite you to an adrenaline Detox tour organised by adventure tourism agency Thrillseeker Croatia,”say the Kaptol association Čašac, the organizer of the first wine and walk festival in Požega-Slavonia County.
The regions’s three vineyards are known for their top wines, primarily Graševina, which give the best results in this part of Croatia. If you haven’t already, now is the right time to find out.
