Dubrovnik, Croatia, 16 July 2024 – Located in the heart of Dubrovnik, the historic summer house Pucić, representative building built in the 18th century, becomes home to an incredible new attraction – the Wine Museum.
The creators are renowned restaurateurs from Dubrovnik and respected winemakers from the Dubrovnik-Neretva regions, namely the Pelješac peninsula.
This joint venture aims to celebrate and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region through the lens of its famous wine tradition, including its focus on indigenous varieties, such as Plavac Mali, Dubrovačka Malvasija, Grk and Pošip.
Nestled just outside the historic city walls of Dubrovnik, near the Pile gate, it offers a captivating journey through the rich viticultural heritage of the Dubrovnik region and it chronicles the evolution of winemaking from the ancient times to the present day, becoming one of leading institution in the study and celebration of wine, where the timeless appeal and cultural context and significance are explored.

We aim to inspire respect for the art of winemaking, highlight its global heritage and promote responsible and informed consumption through our diverse range.”
The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, showcasing artifacts, tools, and documents that tell the story of Dubrovnik’s winemakers since the days of the Dubrovnik Republic.
You can trace the development of winemaking techniques, from the traditional methods used in the medieval period to the innovative practices adopted in contemporary times.
Historical records and personal anecdotes from local families provide a personal touch, highlighting the generational passion for winemaking in the region.
The ambiance is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance.
In this unique museum, guests can explore the evolution of winemaking, from ancient techniques to modern times, with a special focus on the distinctive wines of the Dubrovnik region.
Interactive exhibitions, guided tastings and cultural events will bring to life the stories of the land and its people, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between Dubrovnik’s culinary scene and its wine-growing region.
Additionally, the museum will host regular wine tasting events, where you can sample some of the finest wines produced in the region, paired with local delicacies.
