Fisherman Dead In Hvar

Marine Police from Split have found the body of a 72-year-old man fisherman from the island of Hvar on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, after he had earlier set out to pull in nets on Monday morning, writes daily Slobodna Dalmacija.
The man was found between the south side of Hvar island and the shore of Split, some 200 meters from the Split coast. Police, port authorities, local diving clubs and locals were out looking for the man after a call was received that he was missing after setting off from Sveta Nedjelja at 6:30am to pull in his nets.
Police found the fisherman 11am. The cause of his death is unknown.
