Cameroon footballer Mathias Enge, who arrived in Croatia to play for NK Metalac in the eastern Croatian town of Osijek, has ended his football career to take up the role of chief of his tribe in his homeland…
Enge was a regular for NK Metalac in the Međužupanijska league in Osiejk, but his career has ended after he has had to return to his native Cameroon on his grandfather’s orders. Enge’s grandfather was a tribal chief of one of the nine tribes in Cameroon, and selected Enge from his 28 grandchildren to be his successor, reports Glas Slavonija.
