One of the world’s most read and respected business magazines has included Croatia in its latest list of the 20 Best Retirement Havens in the World…
Forbes identified 20 of the world’s best countries to retire in based on a number of factors, including cost of living, climate, taxes, security and crime, medical care, cultural attractions and hospitality.
Besides Croatia, the list also featured Australia, Belize, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Spain and Thailand.
“Croatia – On the Adriatic Sea, Croatia contains beautiful scenery, a good climate, ancient cultures, a low-cost of living and tax breaks for retirees. The country clearly has put behind itself a 1990s civil war. Inviting retirement venues include the Istria peninsula and the walled medieval waterfront city of Dubrovnik (pictured). Negative: There are no direct flight connections with the U.S.,” writes Forbes.
