The Zagreb Classic 2024 programme is organised in collaboration with the City of Zagreb and relevant offices. On this occasion, Mayor Tomislav Tomašević stated:

”This summer, Zagreb offers its citizens and visitors a series of cultural events, starting with a premier event for all classical music lovers, Zagreb Classic. This is a unique event held at one of Zagreb’s most beautiful squares.

Renowned musicians who have performed on many world stages will play works by Croatian and international composers. I invite all Zagreb residents to attend the concerts as part of this ever-growing event, which significantly contributes to the promotion and recognition of Zagreb, especially in the field of culture!”

On this occasion, Martina Bienenfeld, Director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, said:

”Zagreb Classic once again ushers us into summer in the most beautiful way possible, with top-tier music classics, ballet performances, film scores, jazz standards, and contemporary works. Among others, this year’s line-up includes the world-renowned pianist Hyung-ki Joo, Italian virtuoso Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, soprano Caterina Iora, as well as local classical music stars.

This year’s edition features a special addition – two days dedicated to the Vienna Music Film Festival. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy video projections of famous operas and operettas, such as Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ and Johann Strauss II’s ‘Die Fledermaus’.

Moreover, we invite citizens and visitors to take advantage of the opportunity to attend open rehearsals, which will enhance their experience. Zagreb Classic is a unique invitation to visit the capital city and immerse oneself in the extraordinary atmosphere that brings Zagreb’s cultural and musical heritage to life.

We invite everyone to join this musical journey and enjoy unforgettable moments under the stars.”
