Popular French sports company Decathlon will this weekend open their second store in Croatia…
Decathlon will open a massive 2,500m2 store, the size of 13 tennis courts, in Croatia’s third largest city Rijeka on Saturday. Last year the French company, which has more than 600 stores around the world, opened in the King Cross shopping centre west of Zagreb.
The new Decathlon store in Rijeka will be stocked with sporting equipment from over 70 different sports. Decathlon generally opens stores covering large areas, which include experiences for customers as basketball courts, and areas to play football and table-tennis for free.
“I am very pleased to announce the upcoming opening of the first Decathlon store in Rijeka. We believe that by offering a wide range of top sporting goods we will satisfy all amateurs, professionals and families who participate in sports. That’s the main strategy of our company that we want to encourage a love of sports, offering equipment for all sports under one roof at reasonable prices”, said Michel Kappler from Decathlon.
Visitors to Saturday’s opening in Rijeka will have the opportunity to try a range of different sports in store, such as climbing, rollerblading, football, yoga, boxing, cycling and more.
