Popular French sportswear company Decathlon is to enter the Croatian market. According to reports in Croatian business daily Poslovni dnevnik, Decathlon will open its first store in Croatia in the King Cross shopping centre west of Zagreb. The Decathlon store, over 3,500 square metres in size, will be the latest in the chain’s expansion plans, with Decathlon just opening its first store in Sofia, Bulgaria last week.
Decathlon, which is part of the international group Oxylane, has more than 600 stores around the world and generally opens stores covering large areas of around 4,000 square metres which include experiences for customers as basketball courts, and areas to play football and table-tennis for free.
