Fuliranje and FOOLING AROUND – Zagreb’s most popular Advent events are back

Zagreb – 21.11.2022 – The most popular, photogenic and delicious Advent destination, Fuliranje is once again raising the quality of the Zagreb street food scene and the tourist offer at Advent in Zagreb this winter.

This year it will take place at two locations from November 26 – on Oleander terrace of the Esplanade Hotel with FOOLING AROUND by Fuliranje and at Fuliranje on Strossmayer Square.

For the second year in a row FOOLING AROUND by Fuliranje is taking place at the Esplanade Hotel.

The tradition of entertainment brought to the Esplanade Hotel by the famous dancer Josephine Baker in the 1920s will continue at FOOLING AROUND by Fuliranje on the Oleander terrace. The program will start on November 26, 2022, and will be marked by a lot of good music – DJs, concerts.

One of them, who will help celebrate the 11th birthday of Fuliranje, is the Queen Real Tribute band with a concert on December 8, 2022.

Ten restaurants have prepared an interesting gastronomic story for visitors – The Meat by Nenad Komes, Institut za kobasice by Mate Janković, Balon, Taika, Restač, Beg’s Plant Based Street Food, Gingle Bells, Rakijarnica. There will also be star chefs and restaurants – namely Esplanade, holder of a green Michelin star for sustainable cuisine in 2022 led by the talented Ana Grgić, Chef of the Year 2022 according to the prestigious guide Gault & Millau Croatia.

Three-time pastry champion Mirjana Špoljar and cocktail master Vjenceslav Madić, better known as Master ‘Kishoni’; and Nebo by Deni Srdoč StreetStyle, led by one of the best Croatian chefs with two Michelin stars in two different restaurants will be there.

In addition to this holiday feast, there will also be special guest appearances by top Croatian chefs who will cook on the street for the first time. Don’t miss the first in the series, top chef Matija Bregeš, chef of the popular Zagreb restaurant Baltazar 2.0, who will cook on November 30, 2020. from 5 p.m.

Oleander Terrace will be one of the places at Advent in Zagreb where football fans will be looked after. All matches of the Croatian national team can be watched at FOOLING AROUND with a great atmosphere and delicious snacks.

Visitors will also be able to buy unique gifts, enjoy performances by DJs and street entertainers, a fashion show, concerts by Vatra and Summer Cinema to welcome in the New Year. And on Sunday mornings, many musical surprises have been prepared for children and parents.

The already well-known humanitarian action of the Marin Čilić foundation will be an important part of this event, this year in cooperation with Samsung.

Fuliranje returns to Strossmayer Square – From Zagreb with…

From Zagreb with…a full stomach. The most famous Croatian food startups, young but also established chefs will be responsible for creating a special gastronomic experience on Strossmayer Square.

Mario Mandarić, Vid Nikolić, Marko Palfi, Mate Janković and Ivan Pažanin, along with El Toro, Le Kolač, Torikayu, Ficlek, Boogie wonderland by Kroštula, 4 burgers, Crumble by Briocherie, Bakina kućica by Bakina tajna, Picnic Mingle&Fun, Santa’s house, Purple Monkey, Gingle Bells and Rakijarnica, will make sure visitors are happy and full. Gastro specialties from the west, through Croatia, to the far east will be on offer.

From Zagreb with…dance. This year’s edition of Fuliranje brings more than 15 renowned and upcoming Croatian DJs, with special guests from the UK – Big Danny Kane, PBR STREETGANG (Love international launch) and James Holroyd (Chemical Brothers tour DJ), who is in charge of the New Year’s fun.

The novelty is that this year, in addition to DJs, well-known musicians will perform on saxophone, trumpet, violin or as vocalists.

From Zagreb with…fun. In addition to great music, there is also the Photo Boothique, a part of Fuliranje that makes sure visitors don’t forget the good times. Christmas decoration, lights, mulled wine, innovative gastronomy – all this will make this Advent remembered as the best so far.

“We invite visitors to choose their own From Zagreb with… story this Advent, along with innovative street food and the magical experience of staying in a winter idyll,” organisers said.
