There are grave concerns for a well-known German poker player who has gone missing in the southern Dalmatian city of Dubrovnik. Philipp Hochhuth (24) went missing 3 days ago after coming to Croatia to play in a 100,000 euro poker tournament.
According to witnesses Hochhuth was last seen on Sunday evening in a cafe in the centre of Dubrovnik, before being seperated from his companion at around 3.30am. Witnessess say he had been drinking. Hochhuth was scheduled to play the poker tournament the following day with 400 other players but he never showed up, reports Slobodna Dalmacija.
Hochhuth had amassed prize winnings of close to 50,000 in just three tournaments this year held in Italy and Germany, say the newspaper. (pic: nestali.hr)
