Globalna Hrvatska celebrates 300 episodes connecting Croatians worldwide

Zagreb, 9 December 2024 – In the festive pre-Christmas atmosphere, the 300th episode of Globalna Hrvatska was celebrated at Prisavlje in Zagreb.

For six years, the programme has provided a comprehensive overview of current events related to the lives of Croatians abroad, particularly those connecting homeland Croatia with its diaspora.

“We are a media forum that unites our global community and highlights the wealth it brings to Croatia,” said Ivo Kujundžić, creator of the project and long-time editor-in-chief of the Programme for Croatians Abroad, as he expressed his gratitude for the congratulations received from numerous colleagues and guests.

The milestone episode, which will air on Thursday, 19 December, at 6:00 pm on the Second Channel of Croatian Radio-Television (HRT-HTV2), will for the first time include a feature about the small but dedicated team behind this acclaimed programme.

As the team emphasised, the show’s success would not have been possible without the immense support of its viewers, to whom they are deeply grateful.

“We consider ourselves the voice of Croatians living abroad. The show specialises in important topics such as the return of emigrants, strengthening cultural and economic ties, and showcasing their investment potential. It is a unique programme within the Croatian television landscape,” highlighted Dijana Čović, executive editor of Globalna Hrvatska.

Week after week, Globalna Hrvatska produces segments addressing the challenges and achievements of Croatian communities from South America, the United States, and Canada to Australia, New Zealand, and neighbouring European countries.
