ZAGREB, 30 April 2020 – There has been further easing when it comes to the issuing of e-passes in Croatia, the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia said in a press release on Thursday.
“The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia has received numerous inquiries from citizens who own property located outside their place of residence or permanent residence and who need to visit or go to those properties.
Given the epidemiological situation, directions have been given to staff responsible that leaving one’s place of residence to visit property owned is considered a ‘vital family reason’ and that this is a justifiable reason for issuing an e-pass.
An e-pass will be issued to the property owner and the persons living with him/her in a shared household,” the statement said.
This means people with holiday homes on the coast, islands, and in other parts of the country will be able to go there with a pass which will be issued now as a formality.
Since late March, citizens have been forbidden to leave their place of residence with e-passes issued for essential situations only.
