Those commuting by train in Croatia will soon be travelling in comfort, as Croatian Railways awaits the delivery of 32 new modern passenger trains..
44 new trains will be produced thanks to a 220 million euro loan from the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with 32 new electromotive and 12 diesel trains heading Croatia Railways way.
“This is important for Croatian Railways travellers because there has been no investment in the system for more than 30 years, ” said Transport Minister Siniša Hajdaš Dončić.
Croatian companies Končar and Gredelj have won the tender to produce the new trains, which will be in use by the middle of next year and will come complete with all the mod-cons, such as wi-fi internet and air-conditioning.
