Grace Jones Coming to Croatia to Perform for the First Time

Jamaican singer, songwriter, supermodel, record producer, and actress Grace Jones will be one of the headline acts at the 6th Dimensions Festival which will be held in the Croatian city of Pula this summer.
Most of the techno, house, jazz and soul festival will take place at the spectacular Fort Punta Christo from 31 August – 4 September 2017.
Moderat, Yussef Kamaal, Nina Kraviz, Jeff Mills and Moses Boyd are some of the other names announced today who will be performing also at the festival.
Jones started out as a model, initially in New York, then in Paris, working for names like Yves St. Laurent, Claude Montana, and Kenzo Takada. She appeared regularly on the covers of Elle and Vogue magazines.
In the late 1970s she secured a record deal and had Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart with “Pull Up to the Bumper”, “I’ve Seen That Face Before”, “Private Life”, “Slave to the Rhythm” and “I’m Not Perfect”. Her most popular albums include Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Slave to the Rhythm (1985).
She appeared in some films in the US during the 1970s and 1980s and starred in Conan the Destroyer alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. She was also in the James Bond movie A View to a Kill, Eddie Murphy’s film Boomerang and Wolf Girl.
Billboard magazine ranked her as the 40th most successful dance artist of all-time.
