Grammy award-winning American house music DJ and producer, David Morales (53), will play in Zagreb next week.
Morales will perform as part of the DJ Legends programme which is held monthly at Zagreb’s Boogaloo club on Friday 11 November 2016. Morales will play a number of his old hits on the night.
Morales is one of the most prolific remixers of all time, transforming many pop music songs into club-friendly dance tracks. Born in New York City, he is of Puerto Rican descent. He won a Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year in 1998.
Recently Morales, who has visited Croatia many times before, expressed his desire at one day retiring in Croatia.
“Croats welcomed me such that wherever I went I felt so welcome, from the restaurant to the local shop. I always eat at the restaurant on the old square. Every year that I come I feel like I am coming to visit my family” the famous DJ, who has remixed everything from Mariah Carey – to Michael Jackson – to Kylie Minouge, said.
“The Croatian public are for me one of the best in the world, not just in Europe. They love to have fun, are warm and in a very friendly mood. I always repeat that I really would like to come and live here once. I have been to Split and the Dalmatian islands also. The lifestyle here is unbelievable, and quality of life is something that is for me currently very important”, Morales said in an earlier interview.
Tickets for Morales at Boogaloo can be obtained via entrio.hr, caffe bar Bizzare-Importanne, or at the Boogaloo.
