Croatia’s largest open air art exhibition will again take place next month…
The tradition art exhibition Grisia 2016 will take place this year on 14 August 2016 in Grisia street in the old town of Grožnjan on Croatia’s Istrian peninsula.
A large number of artists will once again exhibit their work outdoor in the town known as the Town of Artists for what is the largest open air art exhibition to take place in Croatia. There will be a variety of art presented on the day, including paintings and sculptures by trained and amateur artists, artwork from children and works by budding students of various visual art academies.
The pretty little hilltop town of Grožnjan is host of the exhibition for a reason. In the 1960s the Town of Arts was founded after some of the housing was given to artists.
Since then it has preserved its unique artistic feel with many little galleries lining the charming cobbled streets.
