Head to Sveta Nedelja for a weekend of family fun

Looking for a weekend place to visit for the weekend for the whole family? Check out Sveta Nedelja, just outside of Zagreb, during Domenica Fest.
Domenica Fest is an event held in this quaint little town that has something for everyone.
This Friday, Saturday and Sunday (16-18 September), on the large meadow at the foot of the Church of the Holy Trinity, visitors will be able to enjoy a children’s town, a large farmer’s market, an exhibition of old cars, check out the Rimac Nevera, enjoy an amusement park and hot air balloons, taste numerous delicacies as part of gastro workshops and academies.
Friday is reserved for a big fireworks display and a concert by Jole and Ljubavnici, and then the weekend of events starts.
On Saturday, the Elvis Presley Tribute will entertain visitors, and as part of the children’s town, you will be able to watch the Kerekeš Theater’s performance – ‘Krtice’. All this will be spiced up with good food, because on Saturday, a traditional barley stew with dried meat will be cooked, with as many as 500 free portions dished out.
As part of Domenica Fest, visitors will have the opportunity to see how to become health conscious. This will be a place where you can get an education, and in addition, the “Bicycle to Health” team will arrive from Zagreb on two wheels.
Željko Bebek and the Tribute band Kad bih bije Bijelo dugme will entertain in the evening, and all this with numerous exhibitors who offer the opportunity to eat well and refresh.
On Sunday there will be animations for children and children’s shows and workshops, and in the evening visitors can expect a stand up comedy show. In the evening – Mladen Grdović, Jasmin Stavros and Zlatko Pejaković will perform.
More than 40 exhibitors will also be at the farmer’s market, so this is also a great opportunity to grab some home-made and healthy products that arrive from all over Croatia.
The parking lot is located right next to the location, and there are several other parking places around the city where you can leave your vehicle and enjoy a happy weekend.
The event was also recognised by the City of Sveta Nedelja, TZ Sveta Nedjelja and the city company Svenkom, which supported the project in the hope that this city will be marked as a city of good entertainment in the future.
