Croatian footballers have been by far and away the highest paid Croatian sportsmen in the last decade, and again they make up the bulk of the highest paid Croatian sportsmen this year also.
Luka Modric, who earns a minimum of 4.5 million euro per season, is the highest paid Croatian sportsmen this year. Behind the Real Madrid star comes three players in the 4 million euro zone, Mario Mandzukic (Bayern Munich), Vedran Corluka (Lokomotiv Moscow) and Darijo Srna (Donetsk). A tier under those players then comes Eduardo da Silva (Donetsk), Niko Kranjcar (Dynamo Kiev) and Ivica Olic (Wolfsburg).
There is a massive differential between the highest paid Croatian footballer and the highest paid Croatians in other top sports, reports Jutarnji list.
