The Croatian Ministry of Tourism has announced that from 1 July at least 269 free internet ‘hot spots’ will be located around Croatia as they look to follow trends on the international tourist market and meet the demands of the modern-day traveler.
The Ministry will finance the programme ‘Hotspot Croatia’ to the tune of 200,000 euros which will see the hot spots put in the most frequently visited parts of towns by tourists such as main squares, promenades, near bus and train stations, ferry terminals and public beaches.
The largest number of hot spots are expected to be located in the Istria and Kvarner region of the country on Croatia’s northern Adriatic coast. Croatia’s Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin says that the new hot spots are important as Croatia needs to follow trends which are happening in other markets and provide the modern travelers with options that make their stay more enjoyable.
