1996-2008: Steady Progress

• 1996 Atlanta: Croatia won two medals (one gold and one silver), ranking 45th in the world.

• 2000 Sydney: Again, Croatia secured two medals (one gold and one bronze), this time ranking 49th.

• 2004 Athens: The country’s medal tally increased to five (one gold, two silver, and two bronze), placing them 44th.

• 2008 Beijing: Croatia won five medals (two silver and three bronze) and ranked 59th.

2012 London: A Leap Forward

The 2012 Olympic Games in London marked a significant leap for Croatia. The nation secured six medals, including three golds, one silver, and two bronzes, achieving its best ranking to date at 26th in the world. This performance highlighted Croatia’s growing strength and diversity across different sports.

2016 Rio de Janeiro: A Historic High

Croatia’s best Olympic performance came in 2016 at the Rio de Janeiro Games, where the country achieved an impressive ten medals.
