Huge Promo for Croatia as Millions Watch Mamma Mia 2 Trailer

Some huge promotion worldwide for Croatia and the island of Vis after the first trailer was released for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, the sequel to the Broadway musical turned blockbuster starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

Mamma Mia 2 filmed on the island of Vis for 24 days, with more than 270 Croatian film professionals and extras engaged.

The trailer for Mamma Mia 2, which features a number of stunning shots from Vis, was released last week and in just a few days it has been viewed by over 30 million times around the world.

The trailer has was viewed 21 million times to date when ComingSoon.net shared it, whilst it has just over 9 million views on the Mamma Mia Facebook site.

Most major entertainment media have also shared the video, including Moviefone and OK magazine, meaning Vis so far has likely been beamed to a lot more people than 30 million, before the movie has even been released.

The stars of the film have also shared it on social media, including one of the main stars, Pierce Brosnan, who clearly fell in love with the island whilst he was there shooting.

Brosnan (64) who plays Sam Carmichael, the husband of Donna Sheridan (Meryl Streep) in the film, spent two weeks with his wife of 16 years Keely Shaye enjoying the island during free time away from the set, strolling and biking around town, enjoying trips out on the boat and romantic meals out.

Along with the original cast including Meryl Streep, Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Christine Baranski, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper, the sequel also features Lily James, Josh Dylan, Jeremy Irvine, Alexa Davies and Jessica Keenan Wynn.

The film is set to hit cinemas in Summer 2018.
