Swedish retail giants IKEA have expanded in Croatia by opening in the Dalmatian city of Split today.
At midday, on Wednesday 6 September 2017 IKEA opened its delivery centre, or ‘pick-up point’, in Split. The outlet is a centre where customers are able to order, pay for and pick up goods on the same day.
Customers can pick up goods in Split which they order on IKEA’s online shop or from the Zagreb store.
The delivery centre, which is located at City Centre One mall in Split, has 5 IKEA staff members who will assist with customers.
“Opening the delivery centre in Split is a step closer to realising our goal of bringing IKEA products and solutions closer to our customers, enabling them to save,” IKEA logistics manager Suzana Rumbak Baretić said.
IKEA is currently focusing on expanding on the Croatian coast and recently opened the first delivery centre in Rijeka. IKEA says they are looking at options to expand in other parts of Croatia.
