One of IKEA’s biggest competitors has entered the Croatian market, just months before IKEA open their first store in the Croatian capital Zagreb…
South African group Steinhoff International has acquired well-known furniture chain Kika, whose revenues last year totaled 1.2 billion euro. Steinhoff International will own the Kika brand in seven countries, including Croatia. Kika, headquartered in Austria, has 70 stores, most of them in Europe.
Steinhoff International is a relatively unknown name on the Croatian market, but the South Africans have for a while now been number two behind IKEA for manufacturing and selling furniture around the globe.
