Impact of shopping boycott in Croatia revealed by fiscal data

Spar Zagreb

People stayed away from shops today in Croatia

A consumer boycott of stores, supermarket chains, and petrol stations swept across Croatia today, driven by public frustration over skyrocketing prices.

Late this afternoon, the Tax Administration released fiscalisation data to provide insight into the impact, revealing a significant decline in both the number and total value of invoices during the boycott compared to the same period last week and last year.
