Impressive Croatia beats France at European Water Polo Championship

Croatia has won their second match at the 2024 European Water Polo Championship in Dubrovnik tonight.
In the 1st round of Group A, Croatia beat Spain after a penalty shootout 14-12, and tonight they made it two from two with an impressive victory over France 12.7.
Croatia lead from the outset and went into the halftime break 6-2 ahead. They would extend their lead in the third quarter before France put up better resistance in the final quarter.
Rino Burić was Croatia’s top scorer on the night with three goals. Luka Lončar, Ante Vukičević and Marko Žuvela each scored two, whilst Jerko Marinić Kragić, Josip Vrlić and Konstantin Harkov scored once.
Croatia keeper Marko Bijač made 6 saves from 13 shots.
Croatia’s final group match is scheduled for January 8th against Montenegro.
The top two teams from the group will directly advance to the quarterfinals, while the third and fourth places will lead to the Round of 16.
