ZAGREB, 10 JUNE 2020 – The traditional “International Day of Yoga” is celebrated around the world this year on June 21, 2020.
As part of the celebration, the Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia is inviting all interested people to join them in a joint yoga practice in several cities across Croatia, including Zagreb, Rijeka, Novigrad, Slatina, Lepoglava, and Šibenik.
The central celebration of this year’s International Day of Yoga will be held on June 20, 2020, in Maksimir Park (big stage) starting at 10.30 am, which is one of the “green” symbols of the city of Zagreb.
In addition to exercising, attendees will enjoy the presentation of various yoga schools operating in Zagreb. All age categories, from the youngest to the oldest, can participate in the program free of charge.
All those who actively participate will be entitled to free introductory yoga classes for beginners. Given the current situation caused by COVID-19, all trainees are asked to bring their own mat and comfortable clothing.
“Information on the benefits of practicing yoga, which has been proven to improve health and general well-being of mind and body, can be found at the info desk of the Indian Embassy on June 20, 2020, in Maksimir Park (next to the big stage), from 10.00,” the Embassy said.
More information about the day can be found here.
