International Prsut Fair Opens In Istria

More than 5,000 people are expected to turn during this weekend’s International Prsut Fair, which is currently being held in the Istrian town of Tinjan.
Over 40 prsut producers from all over Europe will exhibit their various styles of the universally liked delicacy. Spain is the partner country of the fair. The location of Istria is fitting as prsut from Istria has recently been given the European seal, protecting the style and brand of prsut.
Milan Bursic from the Prust association in Istria says that Europe’s seal of approval will improve the standard of the prsut. Croatian prsut manufactures expect a big boom in sales also now that there are no restrictions on selling the pork product in Europe. Previous laws prevented prsut from being exported into Europe from Croatia.
