A large number of the Croatian community in Canada, the United States and Australia follow CroatianSports.com to keep up to date with what is going on in Croatian sports in English.
The website, which was originally founded as a way to bring Croatian soccer news to readers in English but expanded to include all Croatian sports, was founded by Ante Kvartuč.
Ante, who’s parents were born and raised around Zadar on the Dalmatian coast, launched CroatianSports.com to unite Croatian fans around the world.
“It is magical what (Croatia) has done. If I can do anything to push that forward with my expertise in English, the heart and the determination and drive is there, that is no issue for me. It is my calling,” he says.
Ante, who is from San Pedro and resides now in Redondo Beach in LA, was a guest this week on the All Things Croatia podcast.
He chats with host Stanko Zovak about how he started CroatianSports.com and how it has evolved over the years to see him interview a number of Croatian stars, including the likes of Luka Modrić, Marin Čilić, Joe Šimunić, Andrew Bogat, Niko Kranjčar, Ivica Zubac and many more.
Ante also recalls on the podcast the day got to interview Luka Modrić, and gives his prediction on the for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar and how we can expect the team to look.
