British heavy metal band Iron Maiden has arrived in the Croatian city of Split to prepare for their upcoming tour.
This is not the band’s first time in Split, as they previously performed at Poljud Stadium in 2008 and at Spaladium Arena in 2016. Last year, they also chose Split as their destination to prepare for their “Legacy of the Beast Tour”.
The members of Iron Maiden have been enjoying their time in Split for about 10 days now, preparing for their 2023 tour titled ‘The Future Past Tour’ at the Lora Hall, reported daily 24sata.
Iron Maiden is not planning a concert in Split. Instead, they have chosen the city only as the location to prepare for their worldwide tour. They will be performing in neighbouring Slovenia, in Ljubljana, on May 28th, marking the beginning of their tour.
The tour will run from May 28th to October 6th of this year. Perhaps they appreciate the Mediterranean climate, local food or maybe because Split allows the band members to walk the streets without being widely recognised or asked for photographs.
Metal fans and the band members themselves seem to have an affinity for Hajduk Split, the local football club. Last year, Bruce Dickinson, the frontman of Iron Maiden, was photographed wearing a Hajduk shirt before a concert in Romania.
