IRONMAN 70.3 race will take place for the first time in Croatia this month…
The race will be held in Pula on the northern Adriatic coast on the southernmost part of the Istrian peninsula on 20 September 2015.
The Ironman 70.3, also known as a Half Ironman, is one of a series of long distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation.
After swimming in a protected coastal bay in the beautiful, clear water, athletes take on a fast, one-loop bike course that passes through several small picturesque villages, old cypresses avenues and inland vineyards before the return to the marina of Pula. The relatively flat, three-loop run course leads competitors through Pula, passing many attractions such as the Augustus temple, the triumphal arc and the unique finish line in the amphitheatre—a first for an IRONMAN event.
