IRONMAN have added Croatia to its series of races. The Istrian city of Pula now joins just a handful of places around the world which hold the gruelling event…
An IRONMAN Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation consisting of a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km bicycle ride and a marathon 42.2 km run, and is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world.
Pula, and Croatia, will host an IRONMAN series event for the first time on 20 September 2015 when the 70.3 Pula takes place.
Most IRONMAN events have a strict time limit of 17 hours to complete the race. Any participant who manages to complete the triathlon within these timings becomes an IRONMAN.
