Although the Croatian / Brazilian pairing lost the first set, they managed to fight back to win the next two and advance to the quarter finals at the Australian Open for the first time. Dodig and Melo, who made the Wimbledon doubles final in 2013, will face Spanish / Belarus pair Feliciano Lopez and Maksim Mirni for a place in the semi-final.
