It has been money well spent so far for Barcelona when they shelled out for Ivan Rakitić from Seville during the summer…
The Croatia international has impressed staff and fans at the club during his first month, leading to Rakitić being named this week in Spain’s Primera division team of the month for September by the league’s official website.
“When it comes to goals and good play, you can not ignore the vision of Croat Ivan Rakitić in this eleven,” writes the LFP.
The Swiss-born Croat has scored twice in the first 6 rounds of the Spanish Primera, as well as notching up an unbelievable 565 passes, which over 90% are accurate.
