Ivan Rakitić signs for Hajduk Split

Former Croatia international Ivan Rakitić (36) has signed for Hajduk Split, the club has confirmed in a statement.
Rakitić signed a contract just before midnight with Hajduk until the end of the upcoming season, with an option to prolong for an additional season.
Ivan will arrive in Split on Sunday and will be formally introduced at a press conference scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
Throughout his career, he has won nearly every accolade possible.
He was a key player in Croatia’s silver medal triumph at the World Cup in Russia. He has won the Champions League with Barcelona, the UEFA Super Cup, twice the Europa League with Sevilla, four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey titles, two Spanish Super Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Swiss Cup, and the German Cup.
He is the most decorated player ever to join the SuperSport HNL.

Born on 10th March 1988 in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, he grew up there and began playing football, always dreaming of representing Croatia, with whom he became a legend.
He played 323 official matches for Sevilla, 310 for Barcelona, over 100 for Schalke 04, and started his career at Basel.
In the latter part of last season, he moved from Sevilla to Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, from which he has now terminated his contract to join Hajduk, where he will wear the number 11 shirt.
