“I have never this early travelled to Australia, not even when I was playing. We are taking this seriously because his career has been given another life,” Wimbledon legend Goran Ivanišević said on Wednesday in Croatia before flying out with Marin Čilić down under for the first Grand Slam of the year starting in January…
Ivanišević took over as Čilić’s coach in Paris in October after the Croat’s 9 month ban for doping reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Goran also announced the opening of his Pro Camp in the northern Adriatic town of Umag. Croatia will finally get a world-class tennis camp for the next generation of players in the country when the Pro Camp Goran Ivanišević with 25 courts opens up.
“For the first time Croatia will have a world-class camp. Our aim is to stop the young talent going to Spain for tennis camps, but to stay at home. We also hope to attract players from outside,” said Goran.
