Croatia’s Davis Cup tennis captain Željko Krajan has named a strong side on Tuesday for the final against Argentina to be played in Zagreb this month.
Krajan’s team includes World No. 7 Marin Čilić, the in-form Ivo Karlović (World No. 20), Borna Ćorić (48) and doubles specialist Ivan Dodig (World No. 11 doubles).
Ivo Karlović has come out of retirement to return to the Croatian team after an injury forced Borna Ćorić to undergo surgery recently. He has recovered and it will be up to Krajan as to who will play on the opening day of singles when the final gets underway on 25 November at Arena Zagreb.
Argentina coach has named an unchanged side from which beat Great Britain in the semi-final in September. The team is Juan Martín del Potro (World No.38), Federico Delbonis (41), Guido Pella (55) and Leonardo Mayer (138).
It will be the fourth encounter between Croatia and Argentina in Davis Cup competition with Argentina currently undefeated. Croatia will be aiming to win their second Davis Cup title.
