British tour operator increases number of flights to Croatian coast

Leading British airline Jet2.com began operating flights to Croatia exactly 15 years ago with just two air routes connecting the UK and Croatia. 

In May 2009, Jet2.com’s plane landed in Dubrovnik from Belfast International Airport for the first time, followed shortly after by the inaugural flight to Split from Newcastle International Airport. 

Since then, millions of passengers have visited Croatia using the services of Jet2.com and its tour operator, Jet2holidays.

At the same time, the stable collaboration between the Croatian Tourist Board and Jet2.com strongly influences positioning Croatia as a safe, accessible, and attractive tourist destination, as evidenced by the announced increase in the number of airline routes to the British-favourite Croatian destinations, Split and Dubrovnik,” said Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, expressing anticipation for the future joint partnership based on years of mutual trust, friendship, and understanding.

Today, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operate 13 routes to Croatia from eight British airports. 

During the peak summer months, at the heart of the upcoming season, up to 36 flights per week will depart for Dubrovnik and Split, including exclusive Jet2.com routes serving Belfast International-Dubrovnik, Birmingham-Split, Edinburgh-Split, Leeds Bradford-Split, and London Stansted-Split.

In response to high demand for flights and holidays in Croatia, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays added Pula to their offerings in the UK market last year. The implementation of this connection between the UK and Istria is expected in the summer of 2025. Flights will be available from Birmingham, Manchester, and London (Stansted).
