After spending close to one-month in a Miami hospital with viral meningitis, Croatian tennis player Ivo Karlovic has been released to continue his recovery at home.
The 208cm former Croatian Davis Cup representative has told Croatian daily Jutarnji list that he thought he may never play the game again.
“The first days were pretty rough. I was disoriented, I could not speak, and I suffered from strong headaches. There were also complications of removing spinal fluid. Fortunately, now I’m better,” said Karlovic, adding that he hopes to return to the court again.
“Maybe in a month or two, but that is not a priority at this moment. The most important thing is I fully recover.”
