If you like Croatian booze then you will love these new cookies from local brand Đurđa Prettyface.

Keks na eks are a new range of cookies inspired by three famous Croatian alcoholic drinks.

The crunchy cookies come with three different filling flavours – figs with pelinkovac (liqueur with herbs) plum brandy šljivovica with plums and plavac wine with raisins.

Mirena Škarić, aka Đurđa Prettyface, sources the alcohol from local suppliers before adding the fillings to her mixture to produce the handmade cookies which come in a special box designed by Imelda Ramović.

Their moto is “Bottoms up! Till the last crumb!” with ‘keks’ meaning biscuit or cookies and ‘na eks’ meaning bottoms up. They have come out just in time for the Christmas festivities.
