Zagreb’s Medveščak made it seven wins on the trot last night in the KHL when they beat Dinamo Minsk in Minsk 3-2 (1-2, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0).
Medveščak’s Jonathan Cheechoo, who was the top scorer in the NHL in 2005-06, is now the league’s top scorer when he scored his 9th goal of the season in last night’s come from behind victory. Medveščak goaltender Barry Brust also came close to a record on the night, Brust was just 20 minutes short of breaking the 2008-09 KHL season record for the longest period without conceding a goal. With 3 back to back ‘shutouts’, Brust went over 200 minutes without conceding before Minsk scored after seven minutes last night. Medveščak now take on Ukraine’s Donbass on Friday in the Ukraine.
